Fabrice Soulier

Fabrice Soulier is a professional French poker player and is one of the top most poker players who are still playing live events at the moment and has one of the biggest prize money ratings in the game to this day. Born in Avignon in France on the 23rd of April in 1969, he has one of the brightest minds in the game today which was sharpened during his youth when he grew up seeing the members of his family play poker on get-togethers or on the weekends as well as on the streets where his friends played poker. He slowly learned all the tricks of the trade and slowly but surely began to incorporate all those elements of street poker into his play thereby sharpening his skill set a lot more.

But before taking the plunge into the world of professional poker, Soulier was employed in many fields and held many jobs in the film industry. He directed one of the most popular television series to be aired on French television, the Farce Attack and was the director of A Guy, A Girl as well which show his talents as a director as well. But after he was overwhelmed by the charms of poker, he gave up his career on television and concentrated fully on playing at poker events. As a result, he shifted from France to the heart of gambling in Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States of America and regularly began to frequent casinos and other joints where he earned his initial sustenance. He began to teach poker as well on the French television show NRJ Pokerstars along with Bertrand Elky Grospellier. He also designed the website madeinpoker.fr which is basically an informative website for all the wannabe poker players.

The first big win in the career of Fabrice Soulier was the World Series of Poker title which he won in 2011 in the H.O.R.S.E event where he started with an initial cash of $ 10,000 and beat a field of almost a few thousand players to win more than $ 640,000. He has so far had 18 money finishes and has been on the final table a total of 5 times. As it stands in 2011, the total earnings of Soulier in tournaments exceed $ 3 million and he has seen a meteoric rise in his career that began quite late but blossomed very quickly.
