Selbst wins second WSOP bracelet

On 1st July, Sunday, Vanessa Selbst got a huge feat by moving to the ranks of best woman players of poker in the world. She achieved this feat by beating a pack of 420 poker players in $ 2,500 Ten Game Mix Six-handed event. She also received a huge sum of $ 244,259 and most importantly her second WSOP (World Series of Poker) bracelet.

In the last day at the poker room at Rio the twenty seven year old player was the chip leader at the brginning of the final table and she was just brilliant in her approach in the game. She kicked out 4 finalists – such as Tommy Hang, Chris Bjorin, Thomas Chambers and Mike Gorodinsky who finished in third, fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

In the final battle, she confronted Michael Saltzburg. The American woman ousted him with quite ease. The runner up player had to settle for a prize of $ 150,840. In the final battle, Selbst defeated 2 French poker players Gabriel Nassif and Julien Renard who finished 9th and 7th respectively.

With this win, she turned to be the 6th woman poker player to grab more than 1 WSOP gold bracelet. Actually, she comes in the same level with Starla Brodie, Susie Isaacs and Jennifer Harman who grabbed 2 WSOP bracelets. Nani Dollison and Barbara Enright are 2 woman players to won 3 bracelets.
